Mini Review of Some New Releases

The UPS man arrived at my doorstep this morning bearing gifts! I just got a chance to look through some of the newest Barefoot releases:

Kids' Garden is of course beautifully illustrated (it's where those flowers came from for my latest blog banner!) and is full of lots of fun ideas! How about having a race, between a snail, ant, inchworm and other insects? Turning your brother or sister into a camera?

We're Roaming in the Rainforest is another wonderful addition to the "Laurie Krebs library" and as a storyteller, I'm inspired by the animal actions for kids to do... swim like pink river dolphins, march like leaf cutter ants on parade, crouch like jaguars... And like other Laurie Krebs' books, it also provides information on the peoples of the area, as well as the animals, and there is a nice bit on conservation too!

Up, Up, Up! has simple text and is a brightly illustrated trip in a hot air balloon, with a sing-along cd! Repeated in the story, the song is:

Up, up, up, up in a balloon. Up so high I can touch the moon.
Up, up, up, sailing with the clouds. Look at me! I'm so high, I can fly, I know how.

And a special piece of text I enjoy is:

I see all people,
All trees,
Cats and dogs,
bear and monkeys.
Cars and buildings,
All those cities,
Jungles, mountains and countries.
They're blending into just one color...
And it's green!

All are available now through my web-site www.BarefootBooksStoryteller.com
Happy Spring! Happy green shopping! (both books mentioned here are printed on ancient forest friendly paper)

February

Why not pick up The Barefoot Book of Classic Poems or The Barefoot Book of Fairy Tales to share with someone you love this month? If an enchanting fairy tale is what you are seeking, I recommend The Princess and the White Bear King. One of my favorite books any time of year is The Boy Who Grew Flowers ... Visit my web-site today for these and many more stories that will make to smile.

Chinese New Year

Race with the animals of the Zodiac as they compete to have the years of the Chinese calendar named after them. The excitement-filled story is followed by notes on the Chinese calendar, important Chinese holidays, and a chart outlining the animal signs based on birth years. The Great Race: The Story of the Chinese Zodiac

or group, or just be able to get wonderfully beautiful children's
books for your own personal library at a reduced price.

Here's what I'm offering:
For the first ten Maine people who sign up with me I will

At any time, folks who sign up with me to start their Barefoot

as I have several events coming up this Springtime that I will
need help with. I also have events lined up ready to hand
over to people ready to go it on their own. For those looking
to start their business, I have over 15 years in retail experience
(being my own boss!) to share with you. For those not looking

There is never any fee to sign up, no purchase requirement.
You get a free personalized web-site and on-line marketing tools,

sign up folks of your own immediately. Yes, you (and I) can earn
a small commission when the folks you sign up make purchases,
but for me it's about spreading the word, and hopefully finding
folks ready to help me at local events! :)
